Jay Olegario was born one beautiful Spring Morning in a small town called Neptune in New Jersey. It was not long after that his parents packed up the family and moved across the country to settle into another small town called Barstow,CA (northeast of LA).
Growing up, Jay was not a stranger to acting and entertaining. It was something that always came naturally to Jay even when it was not needed. Sometimes he would get in trouble humming a tune during his martial arts classes which earned him the nickname, Elvis. And in high school, Jay began putting his acting chops to work performing and directing many theater productions.
Jay went to California State University, San Bernardino after high school and studied Nursing. During nursing school, Jay was able to continue his passion as an actor performing in cultural theater productions based out of CSUSB and UC, Riverside. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2004.
What lit the fire to get Jay from stage to TV/Film you ask? Well, in 2005, Jay worked on the set of Jarhead, directed by
Sam Mendes. From that day, Jay was hooked with all the
cast and crew on location. From then on, he began to fine tune his craft as an actor by studying at various prominent studios in Los Angeles.
Throughout his time building his passion as a working actor, Jay has been working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units for the past 6 years.
