Once Angel died at the end of Season 2, he pretty much just disappeared, stopping being co-producer as well as obviously leaving the cast. Does anyone know why he just up and left?

I wondered what happened to him too. At least he gets credit for creating the show.

Ive just re-listened to season one and two and have just realized that I really like Angel as a character and like Shane Salks voice its a shame where the story went and had him die

I heard he learned to fly and became The Lindbergh Baby. Granted, that has nothing to do with flying, but learning to fly is pretty cool.

Actually, I think Angel's arc came to a conclusion and his death served as an important part of another character's arc. So...

That would explain Angel having to go, but why did Shane leave the production too?

The only explanation most anyone could give, with respect to his privacy, is that's simply what he wanted to do.

I always figured it was just career issues--with his taking him elsewhere. I miss his voice too. I wondered if his death not requiring the use of his voice meant he wasn't available. If Angel was still alive though, why would Burt and Riley have gone off on their own (unless that was them working around their careers as well) .

Sounds fair enough. Still curious, of course, but I understand and respect that.

Thanks.

I think I remember an interview KC did stating that Angel was always meant to go out that way. It would just happen later on. Then Shane was over seas and unable to be around for productions so that did it that way early.

From the live show at the season 3 finale, I think I remember KC saying that they didn't change what was planned for Angel, but Shane was also moving somewhere in Europe (I think UK) for career opportunities. I imagine all that changed was Shane wasn't around for story input and his appearance in season 3 would have had his voice instead of unintelligible gurgles.
