I hate Burt b/c he is way to corny and negative :mad: (which is probably what the writers are going for as his personality) but still I don't like him. I don't like Kelly whatsoever because she is just straight up annoying and ungrateful:zombie: (maybe its just the voice idk). I absolutely love Sol though bc he is so sweet, funny, and brave.:D

Maybe he just likes the Roman sun god Sol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sol_Invictus) who used to be called Sol invictus. There a strong resemblance between Sol and Saul: they both go down an a regular base - Sol because of the end of the day, Saul because he pulls shots magically.

The only problem I have with Burt is that the writers equipped him with a Desert Eagle pistol. The character is supposed to be a weapons expert, it's obvious the writers are not. Burt would not be using such a Hollywood POS gun like that. A real life Burt would be using a 1911 or Glock pistol for a sidearm. His primary weapon will be a rifle.

Have you listened to the series? Won't stop much with a Glock. His DE is sentimental, as it used to be his wife's. I do not sit around making kill counts, but I am pretty sure he has killed a lot more with a Rife.

I have been listening to the series, I also know firearms and it's obvious that the writers don't.

A wife of someone like Burt would have had a much more practical and especially reliable handgun.

The market for Desert Eagles is for people that are overly impressed with SIZE. It's a veritable "fisherman's lure, made to catch the dollars of fisherman rather than catch fish.

And maybe that is why she had it. They did own a gunshop. Maybe it was a joke between the two of them for just that reason.
