Since people are all butt-hurt about the whole Mayan calendar thing, let's talk about something else... Anybody seen the Facebook event The Zombie Apocalypse (https://www.facebook.com/events/110187222330959/)? It has over 1,000,000 attendees... crazy. Any thoughts?

Also, any Marvel Comics fans out there read Marvel Zombies (http://marvel.com/characters/bio/1011002/marvel_zombies)? Whatever happened to Mr. Immortal, the Technarchy & Apocalypse in Earth-2149? That would've been cool to see a "Zombie Apocalypse." I also think that the Technarch zombies would've been scary. And as for Mr. Immortal, he probably could've fed the entire Zombiverse!

I've read the Marvel Zombies comics and they were rather good, although as I am more of a "happy ending" kinda guy, I the story left a sour taste in my mouth

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/butthurt - It explains it all. I first heard it in the United States Army. It's a great addition to anybody's vernacular.

Just for the record. I, Witch Doctor, create organic Zombies, using only the freshest chicken bones and puffer fish. My products never contain 2-4-5 Trioxin. (http://zombie.wikia.com/wiki/Trioxin)

Yes. There is a pervasive problem with journalists writing misleading attention-getting headlines for science articles.
