How about a Scratch "Betting" Pool? (*Spoilers up to 35-3)

Thanks to my friend, Christian (http://www.zombiepodcast.com/forum/member.php?4035-FelixTheLastJumper), I got the idea that it might be a fun time to start a "betting pool" for who finally settles the score with our favorite bad girl, Scratch.

This is still a newly formed idea so I dont have all the details and, who knows, this might become a moot point after Chapter 36 (we shall soon see...) if Scratch doesn't make it. So, here goes nuthin'

The basic idea is that each person placing a bet will pick a character and a chapter (or maybe an episode?). The character wil be their pick for the one that kills Scratch and the chapter/episode will be their pick for when it will happen.

Just for Osiris and Deacon_Tyler, we will have a "Nobody/Never" option.... (I've already registered your bet, fellas).

Some things we will need to work out:

- What is at stake for the bet?
- Can people get more than one bet?
- When will betting close? If it doesn't do later bettors have more at stake?
- Other stuff...?

Let's have some discussion about the idea and if/how it could work in this thread. We can make a different thread (if needed) for the actual pool.

Thought about it some more and maybe betting isn't the right way to think of it. It could be more like a contest. You don't have to put anything on the table but the winners will get to split some prize. Maybe a pool of user points based on the number of entries we have.... Would we need to get an Admin/Mod to approve that and set it up/hand them out?

Another option would be that everyone agrees that they will rep the winners at least once when it's all over.

You don't have to worry about participants repping a winner. I can adjust that behind the scenes. Y'all feel free to organize it, set the stakes, and we can post two threads with the poll (sadly, I can't adjust it to be higher than 20 options and we'll need about 33-36 options if you decide to pick chapter parts as well as chapters).

Keep brainstorming. When you finalize the contest rules/rewards, shoot me a PM and I'll set it up.

Now watch it's in the Season 3 finale and we don't get this organized in time....

Not sure yet what we need to do for determining the # of rep points on the line... Still looking for input (or a decision from nik or Kc?) on that.

But I'll put up the Scratch Deadpool thread right after Chapter 36 is out. It'll have the details for playing, prizes, etc. Maybe someone can make it sticky too.

Last couple of questions....

1) Which section to put it under? (Characters was my 1st thought)

2) What thread title that gets the point across without also being spoileristic? (I like "The Scratch Deadpool" but not sure if that's considered spoiler material or not....)

How about this for structure of rep:

If you get the chapter part: 50
Character that kills her: 50
Nail both: additional 150 (large reward, but then again this is definitely not going to be easy to hit on the mark just on probability alone).

Total max points is 250. Seem fair?

I like that structure. Gives a lot of people the opportunity to get some bonus rep and a lucky few can get a big bump. Nice.

As for mystery prizes, if you (nik) can provide a couple of "digital" mystery prizes, we could do a couple of things with them. For example, if we have 4 digital mystery prizes we could award them to one character winner, one chapter winner, and two non-winning entries chosen at random.

I'll PM you to talk more about this aspect (to keep it mysterious...)

Take meeeeeeee" until I realize that I have recorded every word she has said and then I will just kinda drop the body off and be like "later dude".

Wow actually that seems like something that would totally happen O.o because pegs pry still feeling horrible about killing latch so she feels she owes scratch that much. that's a good bet man
