I'm shocked that you're shocked about this.

The NYC stop&frisk program is notorious. It was brought to light how much of a reach it was when Adrian Schoolcraft went public with the police mislabeling crimes to lower their numbers. But no body pays attention to it. So it's stop and frisk away.

i just heard about this. what shocks me most is that this has been going on since bloomberg got in office and no one has like taken this to court and pushed it through to the supreme court.

Hard to prove much of anything against the NYPD when they have the ability to file appropriate paperwork to keep the wheels spinning forever. Hell, NYPD throw people in jail on "hot" nights to keep...
