So you liked the first installment of Survival, Inc (http://zombiepodcast.com/forum/entry.php?173-Survival-Inc.-1-New-York-City-NY-amp-Rapid-City-SD) (If you didn't, click here (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=you%20suck))? Want to get graded but aren't quite sure how to do it? Well.....we here at Survival, Inc. are here to support you. Here is a step by step guide on how to go about making your own map to submit!
Sign in/create your google account.
Go to maps.google.com
Click on "My Places", then click on "Create New Map"
Give your map a title and description
Zoom in/google maps search for your hometown on the map
Look in the upper left hand corner of the maps window and you'll see something like this:
http://serc.carleton.edu/images/eslabs/hurricanes/google_maps_tools.v2.gif
Your primary concern is the "Add a placemark". Add those with descriptions as much as you'd like.
Remember, look for natural supplies, an effective Tower, things around that would be helpful to pilfer etc You can also google maps search for those things, and place pins over the search results to make it super easy on yourself...and us too.
When you're done editing, click Save.
Above the map window, you'll see a chain link which will give you the link to your map. Click on that, highlight, copy and paste that link into an email addressed to zombiepodnikvoodoo@gmail.com.
That's it! Easy as can be! There aren't many ground rules for this, the only thing we won't allow: DO NOT CHOOSE YOUR OWN HOUSE AS YOUR "TOWER." I don't care if you happen to live inside of an impenetrable adamantium fortress. It's your house, and it's not a good idea to advertise your home dwelling on the internet. Nothing personal, but I don't want your house to get jacked up because we posted a copy of your map online with your home address on it. Pick a similar looking home a couple neighborhoods away if you have to, but don't pick your own. Even if you live in a huge mega apartment building, don't do it. Find a similar high rise.
Remember that you're graded on Population, your Tower choice, and its proximity to resources (both natural and....stealable I guess...you could be super honest and pay if you want...). I know I speak for They Call Me Revolver when I say we look forward to your submissions and good luck out there!
