Les Stroud. Survivorman. Umm, but I would rather find the woman-equivalent...

At least the apocalypse would continue to have good electronic entertainment:)

Well, he can make a weapon out of damn near anything. And if you say, "So can MacGyver.", you need to leave this forum immediately. Jackie Chan actually knows how to kick someone's ass in a real world scenario (and prob a Z-Day scenario). And he's funny to boot.

Tim Minchin?
Or Bill Murray from Zombieland. We'd dress up and go to the movies. It'd be awesome.

Les Stroud - I'd be afraid... At least Bear Grylls brings a camera crew
Hideo Kojima - no communication would be hard. although i'd love to see what he comes up with
Jackie Chan - we'd just bring him down
Bill Murray - ... i dont think i could be with him in a room for too long... he's weird...
and as for Will Smith... i wouldn't mind repopulating the earth with him :D

What I appreciate about Les Stroud is that he survives and shoots a documentary. He is that good. In addition, he knows when to get the hell out of dodge. He was in the Amazon and strongly suspected a jaguar was stalking him. So, he blew the clam bake and sought shelter in an aboriginal village. At least that is my recollection. I am not a HUGE fan who watches the episodes more than once.
There was also a limited run program that had a dude present how to get out of various disasters in an urban setting.

I gotta second the Bill Murray vote, and he should die exactly like he did in "Zombieland" just for the fun of it.

actually my comment was a bit of a joke on Bear Grylls as he's obviously never really alone or surviving in any situation. Les Stroud is really the true survival guy

Okay, my curiosity is piqued. What exactly would Tim Minchin do during a zombie apocalypse? I don't mean this mockingly; I really want to see what would happen. I'm sure it would be interesting and amusing.
And I think my pick would be this guy:

Yeah, he's getting up in the years, but he kicks ass and would at least be amusing. If I were ever in films, the day Brendan Gleeson was cast as my sidekick I could die a happy man.

jason momoa (ronan from stargate atlantis and drogo from game of thrones)
Mr T (if you need me to explain who he is you deserve to be the first to go when zday comes)
or
bubba smith (hightower from police academy)

Stephen Fry. With my luck I'll break my glasses the first day after the end of the world. And if I'm going to have someone reading everything to me in my attic stronghold I couldn't think of a better narrator.

Tim Minchin would write amusing songs about the zombies, and keep people lighthearted so they don't succumb to despair at the hopelessness of the situation. I'm sure one of the apartments in the tower has a piano.
Incidentally, is your choice of Brendan Gleeson at all influenced by his presence in 28 Days Later?

Truth has been spoken. We'll need at least one actor once the smoke clears.

Kelly Edwards from "Design on A Dime" on HGTV. She can take odds-and-ends and, using her mad carpentry/sewing/welding/electrical/crafts skills, turn it into beautiful furniture, light fixtures, art pieces, etc. Imagine what she could do turning scrap metal into elegant barrier materials and rubble into tasteful zombie-proof survival shelters.

My obvious choice would be Eminem.
First off, he would be hell of an entertainment during the outbreak.
And second off, he is no dought a badass and knows how to use a gun.

I think that Jet Li could be a pretty awesome comrade too. If only I could download martial arts in a few seconds, Matrix-style!

I actually spaced that he was in that until immediately after I posted him as my suggestion. I was thinking more of his work in Lake Placid and The Guard when I posted it.
