View Full Version : The Musical Recommendation Game
j0be
Apr 4th, 2011, 07:38 AM
Background:
I'm constantly on the lookout for new music, and don't nescessarily limit myself to any given genre of music. This led me to an idea on my drive to work this morning: a musical recommendation thread. I didn't want this to just be a dump whatever you're listening to, however. I want to expand everyone's taste at the same time, and thought of the game aspect. Let's check it out.
The Rules:
This forum game is based on the post before your own. Each post will begin with a reply to the previous post, and then define the genre for the next reply.
For example: Let's say this is the ending to the previous post.
Classic Rock
You could reply with:
The Eagles - Hotel California
Rapcore
And the next person should post an awesome song from the Rapcore genre. Simple once you get the hang of it.

Wow... Austrian. It's kind of hard to narrow down. Most times you get Austrian music it boils down to classical or Sound of Music-esque. Or you get a ton of accordions, and I'm not a fan of accordions. I love the Sound of Music, so you're going to get 'The Hills Are Alive'. As I was looking for a good youtube of it, I found a really nice acoustic guitar cover of the song.
